A friend gave this book to me and, like someone else said, it is "hackneyed, trashy, and just plain bad." I read the first chapter and my brain molded into a disgusting wad of slush. I hate reading about women pitting themselves against other women, especially for petty reasons. This cliche style of writing is always being used in the media and it's really irritating when there are so much more poignant things to write about. Don't even bother picking this up.This is officially my first ever reread. I read it back in middle school and remember loving it, Im glad to say I wasnt disappointed. I will update this review soon.
Quick entertaining read. I remember reading it when I was younger and I wanted something light and fun to read today. Glad to know its a series that I can devour. I would recommend to fans of Gossip Girl and similar YA novels.
A lot of my friend's had read this book and recommended it to me. The beginning of the book was a bit too slow for my liking, but the plot was pretty interesting. The way how the first book of the series ended, it was a major cliff hanger and I cannot wait to start reading the second book of the series. I would have to say my favorite character was probably the driver of Anna's Father, he was a very chill guy who did basically everything for Anna which is why he started liking her, but Anna was
EWWWWWWWW! DON'T EVER BOTHER READING THIS BOOK. IT WAS ALL ABOUT BAD STUFF. I COULDN'T MAKE IT PAST THE 1ST CHAPTER. THERE WAS A TON OF CUSSING TOO.
I've actually read this and a few of the others in the series before, but it's been years. I thought it might make good summer reading, especially now that I own most of them or can easily find them. The A-List isn't what I would consider a "great" read, but it was rather enjoyable, like watching a soap opera.The main character, Anna, is likable, as is Adam and Django. Versace, Hermes Kelly, and Burberry brand-name-dropping might be a quick way to communicate wealth, but it's not very good writing.
