Young, Only Once
The opportunity to work as a bartender at a ski resort was the ticket.
The girlfriend held a differing view, given Snow Mountains reputation among the singles crowd.
What could be the conflict?
All Hank had to do was learn a new job, a new sport, and interact successfully with his new co-workers, fifteen college girls hired for the busy season in the lounge, the Snow Girls...
What can I say? This was not the book for me! I just couldn't get into it and was really tempted to stop reading and give up at 5% but only kept reading to the end because I was given an ARC copy by the author for an honest review in return. I feel really bad for saying this but i found nothing stimulating or captivating about this book. The book started out really slow and just wouldn't pick up. It reminded me of the old TV show Seinfeld being a show about nothing. Well this was sort of a book
Before I begin my review, I first want to thank Lee DeBourg for sending me a copy of Young, Only Once! I truly appreciate it!!!!Ecstatic was what I was when I heard Lee was writing a second novel. I won't deny that I was jumping with joy just like the little goat jumping off the rock. Lol!!! Then the excitement intensified 10 times more after I saw it in my gmail. I strongly believe this book deserves Five Stars! From the first chapter all the way to the last chapter I was glued to my tablet. I

I'm giving this one a 3.5 stars. I have mixed feelings about this one. I didn't love it but it wasn't 'did not like' either. I did like it. I actually loved that Henry was a down to earth guy and not really up to speed in the social scene, I never was either. I liked how when Henry got the ski resort and started working that he was able to resist all the snow Bunnies and their advances toward him. I guess what I didn't like was towards the end when he did start to give in. It felt like Hank's
Love is... hopeful, promising, refreshing, innocent. Desire is... tempting, deceitful, electric, darkDo you stay true to Love or give in to Desire? This was an entertaining story of how an innocent holiday job can quickly turn into something more. It was endearing and funny.
The story starts with an amazing show of nature displayed by Hank's window. He and Mikey have been together for some time, and then it's like we back in time to know their story.Apparently Hank is an ordinary guy. As a student, he cares about his paying fund studies, about the subjects he needs to study, about his future. Relationship? Yes, it was in his plans, but he was not eager to seek the love of his life as his friends did.Until Michelle/Mikey arises in his life. She introduced herself to
Lee Debourg nails it again! I love this story from the male POV. Young, intelligent and handsome Hank sucks you in and takes you on his journey of life and love. This story is beautifully written by Lee. I couldn't wait to see what happened next and then I didn't want this story to end! I was savoring each page of this story! I will read anything Lee writes and I am impatiently awaiting for his next book! ;) What an awesome and talented author! I know anything he does will be 5 stars in my book!
