In spite of the danger, Leah must confront the one person she fears most and unravel the mysterious rhyme in order to save her life and the lives of those she loves most.Ashes, Ashes is the third book in the Shadows in the Nursery series by bestselling mystery and suspense writer and Christian author, Tamara Shoemaker. Had I known that this book had religious overtones I would not have started reading it. For the most part is was a standard type of "thriller" but I just couldn't develop any real sympathy for the main characters. As a result this was OK but I just wanted to "get it over with" by half way through. It was an amazing book. The suspence was good and I found myself curious on every page. Good work Tamara Shoemaker. I loved it.
Another page-turning thriller by Shoemaker. This is the third book in the Shadows in the Nursery series.Shoemaker is a Christian author who knows how to write a clean, but keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller. Shoemaker is notable for adding twists and turns that come together in the conclusion, therefore, read carefully. Every event and detail weaves a web that becomes together beautifully at the end.
I've read all of Shoemaker's published work, and this is my favorite so far. An intense, fast-paced novel that's full of surprising twists and turns. The storyline contained an interesting mix of church ministry and murderous duplicity. As a person who has been involved in church leadership for years, this wasn't exactly a comfortable read. Not that "comfort" is a requirement for good fiction. :-) Can I just say (and I don't think this is a spoiler)... thank you, Tamara Shoemaker for being a
Christian suspense with very gruesome details. Very engrossing but . . .
If you loved her before you'll love her again. Tamara Shoemaker spins a great suspense novel with Ashes, Ashes and you will not be disappointed. Once you pick this book up it is hard to put down! The tale of Leah and her story of redemption keeps the pages moving well into the night. It is a great Christian novel with a message behind the mystery. And just when you think you've got things figured out, bam! It turns out you were all wrong. I strongly recommend you pick this book up and start
