In my opinion, Nora Roberts had a genius spark with the idea for this series. Her vision of technology anticipation is amazing and her knowledge and study on human character and psychology are remarkable. She creates strong, well defined characters, which, with every book, become a part of the readers life. I could say Eve, Roarke, Summerset, Peabody&co. are a very important part of my entourage and I'm always looking forward to see what's next on their agenda. The police procedure and other related research is obviously very accurate. Though not all In Death books are brilliant, the series, in itself, is an excellent one!

Even though this series is set in the future, it is not science fiction. Drying tubes, auto chefs - wish they were here now! Eve Dallas is very intense and good at her job. Roarke is every woman's perfect man. The stories are well written but it's the characters that make this one of my favorite series.

Did not finish. Will read later.

I absolutely love this series!! I can't quit reading them, I recommend these to anyone who loves a good mystery while developing on personal relationships among characters.

I am currently reading Divided in Death.. I love these books.. I buy 3 at a time so I am ready for next one.. now that I have my kindle I can do it there and not wait.

I have all of the books, and reread them. I have the whole collection paperback and hardcover. These are wonderful books, but you need to start with the first to keep the characters in line. :)

I absolutely love this series of books.I discovered J D Robb only when New york to Dallas came out so i had the entire series of books to read.My library couldnt get them in quick enough!!! I am now buying them so I have the complete set.The heroine Eve is a kick ass cop who is married to the God of all men Roarke!! These books have everything you could want in a damn good read : good plots,humour,great love action scenes !!!
