It is a kind of complicated plot about war, love, slave saving, and treason and seeking advice from sorcerers in Louisisana.I usually really enjoy books like this, but for some reason this one just did not grab me. It started off okay and then it just lost my interest. Honestly, it was a bit confusing.A man is cursed and falls in love with a woman. It is all beyond his control. The first thing I noticed about this book is that it is really beautiful. I know this is totally a judge its book by its cover kind of thing, but seriously, I love it.
