Fissure (The Patrick Chronicles #1)
Just when Patrick feels the shadow of himself returning, Emma Scarlett enters his life, seeing through his shenanigans and calling him on his crap.
Intrigued by this fascinating creature who is ignorant to his charm, surrounded by four older brothers that look at Patrick like he's a bug to squish, and dating the same guy for the past six years who gives new meaning to the term territorial boyfriend, Patrick gravitates to Emma, knowing she's everything he shouldn't fall for.
So, of course, he can't help himself.
It doesn't take long for Patrick to discover Emma has as many secrets as he does. And hers may be just as dark as his.
This time, falling for the girl could not only break his heart, but his spirit.
FISSURE is the first installment in the two part series, THE PATRICK CHRONICLES, and is a side story to the best-selling YA series, THE EDEN TRILOGY. The final installment, FUSION, will be released in the summer of 2012.
4.5 STARS!! I rounded up :)Okay so truly I, like every other female, am a huge fan of Patrick Hayward. His cocky, classically dressed, uber sarcastic self is total swoon-worthy and I would pine after him all damn day if he was real. So with that, I approached this book knowing that I would love it and I did. I really did. However... I think I will enjoy Book 2 WAY more because the plot, although was necessary and good in its own way, was sort of slow and minorly tiresome at points. I don't mean
In Nicole Williams' Eden series, we follow the story of Bryn Dawson and her swoon worthy, perfect, every bit of a man, William Hayward. In Fissure, we get a story of William's every bit as swoon worthy brother, Patrick. I fell in love with Patrick with the little bit of him we got to experience in the Eden series so I was overly excited to read a story that was not only dedicated to just him but is also told from his perspective. *insert girly squeel here* While it is not necessary to read the
"But I won't go,I can't do it on my own,If this ain't love, then what is?I'm willing to take the risk..." (He Won't Go by Adele)THIS song is like the very definition of how in love Patrick Hayward is to Emma Scarlett. Yes! Knowing Patrick, he was heartbroken from the start of this book. As in acting like his room is a prison for months with a growing facial hair kind of heartbroken. What I really like about Patrick? Well, he is very sincere with his actions and feelings. He is cocky in a very
Ok Nicole I feel I need to inform you that here in Houston summer begins about mid-April so you can just go on and release Fusion. I might be done swooning by then. *might* ;)
Another great read by Nicole Williams! I loved the Eden trilogy and so happy that she decided to tell Patricks story! I fell in love with his character in the Eden trilogy and was happy to continue with this families life! This book did not go into a lot about the supernatural world Patrick comes from and I think you could be a little lost if you just picked up this one without reading the Eden trilogy.....those 3 just help make this even better!
I have no words right now.... I loved Nicole Williams' Eden trilogy and was sooo stoked when I found out she was writing a book about Patrick. Hottie-patottie Patrick!! This book made me laugh so hard...I'm surprised people didn't think I was insane. This book will make you think William Hayward who?? LOL I love them both still. UGHH Why can't Patrick Hayward be real?? haha. Emma is a spunky chic, I love her too! I totally agree with Nicole when I say this would be the perfect Patrick! Swooning

Okay I am in love with Nicole Williams it is official. Crash, Clash, and The Eden Trilogy were amazing yes. But Fissure floored me it was beyond Amazing!!!!! In my last review I said Nicole was in my top 3 favorite authors, after reading all these book she wins! She is #1!!!!!I always loved Patrick Hayward! I felt bad for what happened with him William, and Bryn (but not too bad because they all ended up where they belonged). Patrick grew so much in this book and I fell further in love with him.4.5 STARS!! I rounded up :)Okay so truly I, like every other female, am a huge fan of Patrick Hayward.
