Description In Favor Of Books Hidden Light (Ana Martin #2)
The Hidden Light is the second book in the Ana martin series, which follows Ana as she is drawn into the secret world of the Siis, an ancient race of empathic beings torn apart by war, treachery and the consequences of past actions.Ana believes that Gabriel's departure will keep her out of harm’s way; little does she know that it is too late for that. She already contains some of Gabriel's Shi which allows her to sense the bad intent of others. This ensures that wherever she goes, trouble will find her. After a run in with a local psychopath and more dealings with the Fae, she finally resides herself to the fact that life has changed.
Then children start going missing from the local area, leaving the police mystified as it appears a different person is taking each one. Against her better judgement and with the help of Maria, a natural witch with a stubborn personality, she decides to investigate.
Suddenly, she is drawn further into the world of the Siis and Ana finally realises that her troubles have only just begun.

After reading the first book and following our heroine through the many paranormal sticks she gets herself into, I had great expectations for the sequel. It definitely does not disappoint! First (an older) Ana is figuring out her new power of hearing or understanding people's intentions, with a much stronger personality, more self-confidence, and as a much more developed character. I definitely sense that she is more complete, settled down in herself almost. As with the first book, I cannotThe second installment in the Ana Martin Series is action packed from beginning to end. Ana needs to learn to survive in the Siis world without Gabriel to protect her. You get to see the emotional young woman grow and change as her character strengthens. It is nice to see a book in which this actually happens. I feel it is more true to life, and gives real depth to the characters. We get a small insight into the Others (the other side of the Siis) and the war going on between them. And we get to
I was asked to read this second book in the Ana Martin series and found it, like the first, a good read. This time, this fantasy series sees Ana develop and get to grips with her altered life. Some new characters alongside old, together with a involved plot, make this an entertaining read.I don't give spoilers but will say that for those who enjoy fantasy, you should enjoy this series.
It didn't take me long to read the second book. There was never a dull moment with Ana around. Her world will never be the same with the constant interruptions of The Fae and Siis to keep her brain ticking and her body fighting.
I didn't think there was much scope for this book to be better than the first, but boy was I wrong. the story expands far beyond what I expected could happen and I read this book in a day, not able to put it down until I knew everything. its fun, scary and entirely gripping. the only downside...the third book isn't out yet - am gutted. I wish the author would hurry up and get it written as im having trouble finding another series that has gripped me this much.
this instalment in the series is filled with everything I came to expect from the first book an even more. I love it when characters develop and change and they all do this in bucket loads in this volume. not just that, but the story expands beyond what I expected and kept me hooked from the go.
Wow. She's done it again. Completely shocked. The Ana Martin series has a way of making me hold my breath longer than is healthy. There were so many actions scenes that had me completely engrossed to the point where I didn't even want to blink, but I also had to fight the urge to close my eyes and hide in anticipation - almost like during a really suspenseful scene in a horror movie. When I finished The Night of the Fae I couldn't really figure out where the next book would go, but man oh man.
