This was such a weird book. Murderous capitalist Santas try to kill the last "normal" Santa and turn his reindeer into salami.Didn't feel very christmasy. Also didn't like the main character who is kind of a masochistic ass. But his parents are horrible so I don't rdeally blame him.
3.5 stars. It was a little hard to get into, but I was left with warm fuzzy feelings every time I put the book down.
The book is very well written. I loved the whole story. The plot is very ingenious. I recommend it for 12+.
A Very cute Christmas short story.Santa is flying through the air in a caravan being pulled by Twinklestars the reindeer when they come into a thunderstorm. The storm scares Twinklestar and they crash to earth. The wooden wheels on the caravan are broken and it will take time for Santas elves to repair them. Ben and his classmates are walking to school when they come across the caravan. The bully of the group dares Ben to knock on the door and stay until someone answers, he does and he is
We found this at the library by chance, picking it up because we love Cornelia Funke, and Maren hogged it once we got home. She giggled through it, kept telling me how much I would love it, and then repeatedly asked me when I was going to start it. The first real book recommendation from my daughter! Heart all aflutter here.
I heart Cornelia Funke's worldbuilding always.
